1980s Sultanabad rug handwoven of wool on a cotton foundation in the Nile delta region of Northern Egypt. Minor age wear. Fustat, the ancient capitol of Egypt on the Northern end of present day Cairo, is where these beautiful carpets were woven. Using the traditional methods that had changed little for the past centuries, these soft colored masterpieces would surely blend perfectly in your setting.
