Karaja is a town in N.W. Persia bordering on Caucasia well known for the significant use of the cochineal dyes reds and violets used in their rug design. The designs of Karaja rugs are influenced by the Caucasian styles and designs rather than traditional Persian motifs. Colors: brick/blues/greens/ivory
