Signed lower right ‘J. Anton’ for Judith “Judy” Anton (American, 1933-2010) and painted circa 1985. Additionally signed verso. A substantial, figural oil showing a young man surfing and contrasted against a crimson and sky-blue background. This listed, woman artist studied at New York’s Pratt University and NYU, where she received her Master’s in Art. She exhibited widely and with success, and was the recipient of numerous awards.
